BORN ON THE BAYOU

I have a little dream one day to live on the bayou.
I suppose I would be that crazy old bat living in the broken down
plantation home.
People on the mainland would talk about "Poor Lonely Miss Henke
lived and died with her 20 cats".
Children would most likely start an urban legend about how
I was a witch or something.
*sigh*

In reality that is terribly invalid.
I always feel the need to fix anything that ages and
I am highly allergic to cats.
I simply love the style of historic home and
I am fascinated with the deep south.

I have always believed that bringing indoor furniture to the outdoors
is a divine trend.

And that every house in the south (Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama..)
should indeed have a greenhouse.

Oh and of course anything vintage :)

All in all, I don't want to be cooped up in some creepy old mansion.
I would like to live in "that grand southern manor" that
everyone admires. Maybe I will call it after the family name...
Perhaps the "Van Buren or Winchester Manor"
;)

THIRSTY FOR TRUE BLOOD

I am in love with the show True Blood! I recently started watching
it last year and am now reading the books (The Southern Vampire Mysteries).
I know what you are all thinking..."Wow... this is probably just another
Twilight..." Lies!!!! It is actually much more interesting and terribly southern!
(Not to mention... a lot more kinky...)
Anyways, I am obsessed with the main heroine, Sookie Stackhouse.
Though she can be extremely foolish and somewhat dim, I think she is
too cute! Also I am kind of digging on her southern style ;)

Oh yeah, I'm also extremely jealous that she has these two guys after her...
I mostly have a thing for the one on the right <3

I suggest you guise watch this show and or read the books!
It's a quick read and I usually finish one within two days or so.
Enjoy!
